Our objectives of the school is to create a demanding yet supportive learning and stimulating environment where every leaner is provided with an ample opportunities to individual growth and display his natural potentialities. Our intention is to ensure that our religious values and traditions are expressed in our interaction and dealing with others irrespective of their beliefs , geographical location and background. School is regarded as centre of learning , dedicated to quality and excellence that produces confident, responsible, well-adjusted citizen and highly motivated member of the community. Al-Akeedat model college is progressive co-educational and Muslim primary and secondary school. The school offers qualitative education, high moral standard that facilitates leaning and Islamic values that inculcates humility, responsibility, sincerity and above all dedication to selfless service to humanity and the Supreme Being ALLAH.

The school was founded on the 29th of September 2003 by a dedicated and GOD fearing educationist with over two decades of experience in the profession of education whose name is Ustaz Sulaimon Salaudeen. Ustaz came from humble family that enjoys wide reputation for religious activities and act of serenity. The school has a challenging yet all encompassing academic programs that is grounded in

Islamic context and shared Islamic practices. The small school setting with its highly qualified faculty and standard classes provides students with high academic commitment, much individual attention and ample opportunities for leadership development. The school is blessed with excellent facilities, latest teaching methodology, well -equipped professionals and above all dedicated teaching staff. The school also enjoys extensive and highly competitive extra-curricular programmes with scientific bias. The first Islamic secondary school in the vicinity whose teaming populations are predominantly Muslims with little or no understanding of the unique qualities of the religion. Hence the name Al-Akeedat, which simply means Creeds of Islam. The idea is to show-case the uncommon qualities of Islamic teachings and to establish peace and harmony in our small world of learning in particular and the world in general.

Admissions

Al-Akeedat admission policy is determined by the board of governors and administrative body of the school. The policy is consistent with the government National policy on education and the Lagos state guidelines. Application forms could be obtained from the administrative office and online application forms are available on the school website. The potential candidate to the primary section should not be less than five years and he/she should have been socialized with the school environment and must have equally experienced temporary separation from home. The Secondary candidate should have sat and obtained the basic 6 examination certificates from Lagos state or any other recognized primary school. He should have maintained certain level of proficiency in the major subjects and be able to express himself in simple and correct English. He or she must not be less than eleven years .The admission is opened to every eligible candidate irrespective of religious, ethnic, tribal and geographical location. In all cases of admission /entrance examination is compulsory.

Our Grade System

Each term mark will normally include a class mark based on variety of class assignments, class tests as well standardized control tests. There are two continuous assessment tests per term and three terms per one academics session .The school organizes open-day at least once per term and this gives the parents opportunity to interact and observe the performances of their children. Home work is given on two subjects daily to keep the student on constant check and to infuse in them the highest sense of hard working .There is also a group project or thesis for the senior classes to prepare them for the higher educational level.
